New Packaging coming soon!

This is an exciting time for Sourdoughs International. Ed Wood and his son Keith Wood just returned from fancy Las Vegas. The purpose of the trip was to explore different packaging equipment for our cultures. As SDI expands we see that it's now time to start researching ways to improve productivity and the overall appearance of the cultures packaging. John and I were happy to see Ed arrive with the decision to purchase a fantastic new label and packaging machine that will arrive in about a month.

Lastly, keep your eyes open for our Holiday gift packages for your family and friends. This is a unique and creative way to show the people in your life that you care and to make sure they get fed! ;)

Enjoy your Friday and remember to smile at the little things in life!

Happy Weekend...

Today's a beautiful day here in Round Valley. The sun is shinning with a nice (wake ya up) chill in the air. We're getting ready to mix up a batch of our Bahrain culture and we have a San Fransisco culture proofing now. Boy, I can't wait for dinner!

Star News Interview!

We're super excited to share our most recent interview. Star News out of Mcall, Idaho sat down with Founder, Ed Wood for an interview which will be published on Thursday, Sept. 22, 2011. The Reporter, Dan, did a fantastic job and has a personal interest in baking sourdough bread himself, so it made for a nice conversation. Dan will be contacting other forms of media like (Sunset Magazine) as well as other Newspaper's in the Idaho area. This is just might be a very good thing for Sourdoughs International. We believe we have a truly authentic product and have been helping our customer's for over 25 years to create the best sourdough bread possible.

We'll post the article once published...Stay Tuned!

The Joy Of Bread...

Ed never, ever uses commercial yeast in his cultures! This is a pretty important factor to consider when you venture into the world of baking your own homemade sourdough bread. It's an enjoyable process as you watch the dry ingrediants turn into your very own starter! It's a feeling of satisfaction when those little bubbles form on top of that glass jar. That's the moment you break out the flour, grab your bread pan out of the cupboard and get to work. Soon, your sences are filled with joy as the scent of the homemade bread you're baking fills the air.

Man, I'm getten' hungry just thinking about it!
